The Concord City Council will hold its annual city priorities workshop Saturday.

The council at the 9:30 a.m. meeting at the Concord Senior Center’s Wisteria Hall will be updated on staffing challenges the city faces and Concord’s economy. The council will also discuss Tier 1 priorities over the next 15 months.

Those priorities include the city’s long-term fiscal stability, the former Concord Naval Weapons Station, public safety, infrastructure maintenance, organization health and employee success, quality of life, and customer service.

Pandemic recovery will also be a main area of focus for the council.

The workshop is meant to create consensus on what the city’s priorities should be moving forward, with allotted time for public comment.

The meeting will officially begin at 9:30 a.m., though a continental breakfast will be available beginning at 9 a.m. The meeting is expected to last until 3 p.m. and lunch will be provided.

The Senior Center is located at 2727 Parkside Circle, in Concord.

Concord establishment, and our Supreme leaders Seeno and Co…..

Downtown construction is making progress… Keep it up. The people want useful first floor commercial shops filled with tax paying businesses. Make sure to install plenty of street/crosswalk lighting to keep pedestrians safe navigating across Todos Santos to BART. Think about parking needs as well.

What is the story with the Terminal shopping center rehab to East street lots? Those eyesore lots need buildings.

Clayton Road, and WP corridor’s are aging, and need modernization. Incentivize rehab projects, and drop permitting fees to promote investments.

Monument corridor… Keep it well policed, promote re-development, watch multi properties like hawks, and finally make a bid on the open lot held hostage for 30 years on Monument/Oak Grove.

BFF Out!

Get Concord out of Sanctuary City commitment and status!
There are better uses from the funds for “sanctuary city” use!

They don’t need a meeting, the needs are simple.

Fix the roads.
Fix the sidewalks.

The Police do a great job keeping crime minimal, this county needs an aggressive DA.

The homeless will leave as soon as there’s no more free stuff.

Next election we need City Council members who are far less corrupt and can get the roads and sidewalks fixed.

If they can do that then we can address other concerns.

Exit 12A March 31, 2022 - 11:13 AM - 11:13 AM

Fix your roads… Concord Av, Monument, west Willow Pass Rd, and sections of Treat are HORRENDOUS.

Crime.

Homelessness and feral humans.
