Driver Flees After Rollover Vehicle Collision On Clayton Rd. In Concord

A rollover vehicle collision ooccurred just after midnight this morning on Clayton Rd. near Ayers Rd. in Concord.

One vehicle was on its side, however, when police arrived, nobody was inside the vehicle.

This usually happens for one of three reasons.
1. The person got a ride to the hospital. 2. The driver was drunk and fled on foot. 3. The vehicle was stolen and the driver fled on foot.

The road was closed for a short period of time while the vehicle was towed.

Driver drunk, no license or insurance, no documentation as to being here legally is my guess…. will be very easy to ID owner and registered driver & investigate from there. Doesn’t state make, model, year of vehicle – may not be worth getting it out of impound.

Well, according to Claycord it costs about $13,500 to address a drunk driving conviction.

Makes sense in terms of personal finance, right?.

So they towed the vehicle on it’s side? Must of been on the side of the road. Yuk Yuk.

I would like to see a list of reasons why hit and run drivers didn’t stop and those who run after an accident run. No license, no insurance, drunk, high, car full of drugs, stolen car, illegal alien, warrant out, or whatever. Would be interesting.

I still resent that I have to show documents to get a REAL ID. Those are basically the same documents I had to show to get my initial DL, except now the DMV gives License’s W/O those documents, so I have to show mine TWICE. Why not Grandfather everyone who got a License before the DMV lowered the standards? Makes to much sense?

You don’t need to get a Real ID driver’s license, unless you plan to get on a commercial flight. Without the Real ID, you’ll need more documentation to get past TSA.

Document requirements are from the feds – not Calif DMV
