The next few days will feature two separate storms, according to the National Weather Service.

The first storm will start today and last through Sunday morning. There will be a brief dry period on Sunday, then the second round will arrive starting Sunday night. It will last through Tuesday morning.

Contra Costa County is expected to get up to 6 inches of rain in the lower elevations, with most of the rain coming during the second storm. Wind gusts could be between 30-40 miles per hour.

Gee what happened to that never ending super drought we were supposed to be in. Now I think these storms will be blamed for causing too much foliage growth causing never ending fires.

Yeah, there will be a fire and red flag “crisis” come May and June, and thru summer due to a more or less normal rainy season. I bet parks and open spaces will be closed due to “extreme” potential for wildfire.
.
The media continually hypes the extremes of every situation to remain relevant and maintain ratings.
.
The weak minded (a majority of the public) don’t question the media and accept the so-called “news” as facts with no bias.

It will take years of above average rainfall to fill the underground aquifers that have been depleted mostly due to agriculture.

.
Are there aboveground aquifers?

The City of Clayton has been depleting the local aquifers for years now by watering it’s City landscaping from the aquifers, causing subsidence. Cracks in your walls? Your house may be a couple of inches lower than when it was built, as a result. Really considerate way to run government, I’d say.

Thank you for trying to help them understand.

I suggest you think about what you say before just blurting out ignorant statements. Have you seen our reservoirs or the Colorado River, Lake mead, Lake Tahoe? We would need steady, constant rain all the way through to April or May if we’re to get out somewhat out of this 20 yr drought. A couple rain storms won’t even scratch the surface of what we need.

We need soooo much rain it’s incredible. We would need steady, constant rain all the way through to April or May if we’re to start climbing out of this 20 yr drought. There goes the rest of the SE Fence the xxxxx neighbor dug by removing bushes and trees with the bobcat on his side uses the beautiful home as a rental. Then got into the bob cat scooper to be raised by his worker to throw rope over the 80 plus foot tree branches to cut first. So, I knew the dread I felt then was real. It blew to his side and I’m sure will be flat by the next storm. Every neighbor surrounding raised their blinds to see what the heck. I called planning to be sure about when he could start paving and if there was a permit. Nervous Nellie. Now he can fix it.

There are those who are blaming global warming and those who blame geoengineering. On the latter there will be a split between just who is doing the geoengineering, China or the US military? 😀
