Police say at about 6:15 on Wednesday night, the suspect, identified as Concord resident Andrea Violeta Villa stabbed the employee multiple times.

After doing so, police say the woman fled the store and was caught by responding officers.

Gee, I wonder..actually I know..not surprised at all..
Someone should have stabbed her in the side of the head as she fled. End of her pitiful existence.

Cat fight!
.
At least it’s a stabbing and not a shooting. I mean, stabbing is much more personal since you can feel the knife penetrate, skin, muscle, and organs.
.
Commendable in an macabre sort of way.

What is wrong with you? Someone was stabbed at their work place. Have some empathy. Nobody should have to be worried about being attacked anywhere, but here we are…people behind the protection of their screens saying nasty things. Real brave. Be better. Be a part of the solution.

Unfortunately not surprised – the employees are usually more than testy at best – just not safe there anymore imho

Yeah blame the poor employee for being “testy” instead of the criminal who actually did it. You’re an idiot for blaming the person who was just there doing their job. I bet if it was your family you’d have a different opinion.

… and you’re closed minded at best – not understanding or wanting to – to know where I’m coming from …. I’ve had “incidents ” there DA

The article wasn’t about your experience so how is it being closed minded? You seem to have self inserted yourself in order to set up the victim status you clearly crave. Lastly who cares about YOUR experience there, it is only relevant to yourself.

Was at Home Depot Concord twice today didn’t notice anybody even thinking about it it was so crowded there was no parking places and outside the parking lot it looked like Tijuana.
I can’t say I walked through the store looking behind me or giving people a once-over look, I guess if somebody is going to pick me out to come after me and some kind of attack more power to him I’ll most likely take them down without even a second think about it. If it’s your time it’s your time but I sure ain’t going down without a fight.

Incidents? Maybe because you were denied a return because you did not have a receipt or the proof of purchase?

Ricardoh May 11, 2023 - 7:35 PM - 7:35 PM

I will still go there. We can’t let one demented person run your life. 99.99% of the people there are perfectly fine.

Sh*t is getting worse. You need to always be aware of your surroundings at all times. When at looking at stuff inside the store, look out for those who walk past you. You never know what they’ll do to you when they walk past you. People are unpredictable these days.

Stupidity of customers is also a problem there such as putting tomato cages or sticks in carts sideways clueless about those pointy things being at eye height for others.

I was just in that store two hours before that. The girl that got stabbed may have been the one that helped me. There has got to be something in the water around here. Too many people are flipping their lid. I know what it is but I can’t say it.

If you carry the wrong type of knife to protect yourself, you are a criminal. If you carry a gun to protect yourself, you are a criminal. Our government wants to take away the ways you can protect yourself. Cops can’t be everywhere; we are on our own. But our hands are tied.

You are wrong professor, you can carry whatever you want to protect yourself, if you are using to save your life from a attack, your not gonna be the criminal.
I swear I’ve been carrying for decades and never a problem even when I’ve pulled it out to thwart a confrontation with some dumbass. Cops didn’t even ask if I had a permit.

I used to work there. It was a hell hole. The employees were always ped off. You should have seen what they did to the breakroom. Management was worse than bad. I left asap.

Unless am really pressed for time will make the drive to Martinez Home Depot.
Knowledgeable employees who know where products are, well stocked store and no long lines at registers.
Well run store without 30 people loitering around in parking lot.

American Citizen May 12, 2023 - 10:38 AM - 10:38 AM

Home Depot will classify this as a work related injury. Cover all the bills and give the victim a settlement. Win win for the victim.

Hi I am the person that was stabbed. I wish that’s what they did. The Home Depot even denied me workers comp…. My body isn’t able to work. Anyone have any helpful and friendly suggestion ? I’m really struggling 🙁

Cowellian May 20, 2023 - 7:51 AM - 7:51 AM

I am very sorry to hear that. Home Depot cannot stop you for applying for Workers Comp benefits. They may oppose your application, but in my experience, California Workers Comp is among the most lenient programs in the country. If you can, talk to a labor lawyer.

Nunya May 13, 2023 - 9:47 AM - 9:47 AM

I work at this Home Depot and the girl that got stabbed is a nice girl that didn’t deserve this. Im just glad shes ok.
