CHP: One Dead In Pleasant Hill Crash

The California Highway Patrol says a traffic fatality occurred Thursday night on southbound state Highway 242 in Pleasant Hill.

The collision, which was first reported at 11:32 p.m., occurred near the Gregory Lane off-ramp, according to the CHP.

The CHP reported a pedestrian may have been struck by a vehicle.

The CHP issued an Sig-alert Friday at 12:22 a.m. and was reporting two lanes were closed due to the collision. All lanes were reported open at 12:52 a.m.

Yesterday, Thursday, 6/1 heading East on 242 at the Clayton Road exit 4:00ish pm there was a man, dressed in black jacket with fur hoodie, face covered walking against traffic at median in fast lane, carrying behind him a long walking stick. He would have had to cross two lanes of traffic to get there and back out. I did not report it.

This is super unclear. Who was the fatality? The driver or the pedestrian?
