My gosh, people are just so stupid.
FAFO. Darwinism prevails..
I read earlier it was a child? Hope I’m wrong 🙁
17 year old.
They updated his age to 18.
10 worst ways to die in 2024:
1. Flesh eating bacteria
2. Carnival accident
3. Fireworks. Extra credit if it’s not July 4th. Double extra credit if it happens at a carnival.
4. COVID-19, 20, 21, 22 or 23
5. Crossbow bolt. But that’s probably sucked for the last 1200 years, but in 2024 it would hurt even worse.
6. Butt cancer
7. Death by misadventure, any misadventure.
8. Trying to dig a piece of toast out of a plugged in toaster even though you know better and a guy you kinda knew, died from it in the 80’s.
9. Buried alive
10. Shot by a jealous lover, but in a case of mistaken identity.

That should have been number one auntie. Though I just thought of five more:
Buried alive again, but with a Wolverine. No…two wolverines!
A new painful and embarrassing disease they eventually name after you.
Eaten to death by piranhas.
Your eyeballs spontaneously explode, five minutes apart.
Being poor.
This is fun. 😁
It was a teenager with his family. Stared into a mortar he had lit, and it launched in his face. What a horrifying thing to experience as a parent. My heart goes out to them, the firemen, cops, paramedics others who responded and had to see that. RIP.
And the news said the parents were RIGHT THERE. And apparently, STILL let him do this. It boggles the mind. Even at 18, this “man” was very much still an overdeveloped child, since the brain does not fully mature (executive functioning- decision-making abilities/ planning) until the mid-20s.
As a licensed pyrotechnician, the FIRST thing taught is – Never place anything over the mortar tube you are not willing to lose.
Sad times for the family, so horrible I cannot imagine.
