The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office identified the person killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 242 near Concord.
Cassandra Spain, 62, of Santa Rosa, was headed south near the Clayton Road exit in Concord at 7:36 a.m. when her Ford sedan collided with a BMW SUV.
CHP said Spain was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was not injured.
