Better stick to a basic Snare Knot (Hangman’s Noose is racist).

This should be a hoot but they won’t see hour pitchforks and torches. Why do folks in other states pay a fraction of what we pay for utilities? I think PG&E is a Robber Baron.

They DON”T want to hear what I have to say!
How about the CEO making a 10s of millions a YEAR?
We should go and protest! Peacefully of course.

They’ll act like they care and listening but they know they have it sewn up having the CPUC and Newscum in their back pocket

When they came to Steel Town Coffee in Pittsburg a couple of weeks ago on a Friday at 8am (when everyone is at work), those that did go all said the same thing “they didn’t want to answer the real questions”. And with this so called town hall meeting, they still don’t want to answer the real questions.

By the way your monthly budget, newsom and his appointees don’t care.
.
‘Ignoring public outcry over soaring bills, regulators approve another PG&E rate hike’…
“The new fees will stack on top of already historic hikes that went into effect in January and averaged 13%—around $414 in additional annual fees—for the typical PG&E electricity and gas customer.

That sticker shock will be compounded by an average of $4-$6 in additional monthly fees for the typical ratepayer approved by the California Public Utilities Commission.”…
.
“Since early 2021, PG&E bills in California have increased by 38%—an average of $52 per month, according to regulatory filings—20% more than the rise in the consumer price index over the same period.

The recent increase in rates means that PG&E has now leapfrogged San Diego Gas & Electric as the state’s priciest power provider.”

.
‘Report from CPUC Public Advocate Finds CA Residential Electricity Prices
More than 2X the National Average’
“We don’t hear much about California’s “decarbonization work,” the state’s and California Public Utility Commission’s flawed scheme to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. But we see the painful results in our monthly electricity bills.
.
The Public Advocates Office at the California Public Utilities Commission, published a new report which found PG&E residential electricity prices are more than double the national average. The report also found PG&E rates have gone up 92% in less than 10 years. And PG&E is back at the CPUC asking for even higher rates.
.
For current electricity rates, the report found that the residential electricity rates went up 38% from Jan. 2021 to Sept. 2023.”

ONLY way to get lower rates is to vote DEMs out of office.

They’ll talk and talk about how much their doing to make their lines safe from starting fires, blah blah blah … then allow 15 min for customer questions and comments… just watch

If they are so poor they have to raise rates why do they have so much profit? For the same reason BART always needs to raise fares. They want more and more ad infinitum.

No Excuses March 14, 2024 - 10:49 PM - 10:49 PM

They are not poor… they just whine that way. In ’88 they blew up (on purpose) their $13,000,000 Wind Mill in Solano Co…because it didn’t perform as well as expected…it was too big. Then they contracted to buy the wind power from the same area from Shilow…a Canadian Pension Fund’s wind farm in Solano Co. Then a few years later, they got a deal from CPUC to “allow us to power down the windmills—cut production of wind electricity as needed” … Because when it is windy, and therefore TOO EFFICIENT, we can’t make enough profit. And then the customers complain if we simply raise rates to maintain shareholder profit margins. They even blacked out the tech stuff from their Public Request and made the tech stuff secret…from the customers. The story could go on for more decades. We are the money machine… that powers their private jets and limosines. (PG&E’s and the CPUC’s)

No Excuses March 14, 2024 - 10:53 PM - 10:53 PM

I missed the whole thing… and that is probably a good thing. Hope someone reports on the sweet hype of their next planned shenanigan.

Dr.Nobody March 14, 2024 - 7:42 PM - 7:42 PM

Everyone knows PG&E is a publicly traded company right?
Google decoupling… PG&E doesn’t profit off the electricity it provides to customers… and gas prices are at all an all time high… that’s why the gas portion of our bills are so higher.
Do we want to safer communities or dirt cheap utility bills?
All prices are going up every where we go. That is just reality right now.

See? All is well!
Now shut up and be fleeced quietly.

Shulla March 15, 2024 - 8:57 AM - 8:57 AM

This corrupt company had better enjoy their blood money in this life. Hell has a lot more real estate than I ever imagined.

Fed Up March 15, 2024 - 8:58 AM - 8:58 AM

Newsom, The Democrat party, CPUC, CARB are forcing rates up. It’s all a ploy to get consumers to use less, thereby lowering “greenhouse gasses” so we can do our part to save the planet. PGE goes along with it because they profit off the rising fees.

The Fearless Spectator March 15, 2024 - 1:19 PM - 1:19 PM

They care nothing about lowering greenhouse gases. It’s all about financing crony causes and harvesting the greens. Greenbacks that is.

Captain Bebops March 15, 2024 - 9:52 AM - 9:52 AM

The problem is they should have done many of the things they are doing now and charging us instead back in the 1980s when that work was more affordable. Now they are in trouble and the town hall reflected it. Still I think the company needs to be broken up into regional utilities. Historians may write how PG&E killed California.

Chris March 15, 2024 - 12:52 PM - 12:52 PM

Going Green is going to cost you a lot more than you would expect. BEND OVER!

Captain Bebops March 15, 2024 - 5:31 PM - 5:31 PM

PG&E, the company that penalizes you if you bake a pizza at the wrong time! 🤣

The Fearless Spectator March 15, 2024 - 6:02 PM - 6:02 PM

Manufacturers of Inverters have seen sales skyrocket to California homeowners. However the last thing California overlords want is to see homeowners take control of their energy usage. Legislation to thwart it is forthcoming.

Bobo March 15, 2024 - 6:38 PM - 6:38 PM

Keep voting for idiots, newscum signed for charging rates according to what you make. Work hard so you can pay for everything.

Whoe Jim March 15, 2024 - 7:36 PM - 7:36 PM

As many have mentioned, Newsom has hand picked every CPUC member. Most likely his guests at the French Laundry. What a shocker…
