Anybody remember Pipers Smorgasbord on Tice Valley Blvd. in Walnut Creek? Pictured above is a matchbook from the restaurant.

They also had a restaurant in San Leandro.

Both closed in the 90s.

The place to meet-up w/Granny & Papa, & the inlaws,
TO PIG OUT IN THE ’70’S 🙂

We used to love going there and ate about once a month. The bible verses on the bottoms of bowls and plates were a good incentive to clean your bowl/plate before getting a refill.

They used to have all you can eat dungeness crab night. Wednesdays, i think. Really got my money’s worth on those nights.

parents took use there a lot, I thought it was good.

Parents took our family there as well, props to the soft serve self serve ice cream and toppings.

There used to be a 680 exit at Newell?
