Economist Dr. Reich posits that “It’s corporate power. The entire American economy is concentrated into the hands of a few greedy, corporate giants with the power to raise prices… Only a few entities have access to the land and pipelines that control the oil and gas powering most of the world… In April 2021, Procter & Gamble raised prices on staples like diapers and toilet paper, citing increased costs in raw materials and transportation. But P&G has been making huge profits.” He cites many other examples.

It will depend on the outcome of the Presidential election. If Biden is re-elected prices will continue to soar, If Trump is elected we will see a much better economy. I noticed the price of gas has been creeping up to six dollars a gallon for premium, thanks in part to the war in the Middle East, If we had our own oil, this wouldn’t be happening. If Trump wins the election, he will negotiate peace and hopefully bring an end to the war between Hamas, and Israel, and help end the Russian-Ukraine war. Trump’s foreign policy was working well, he was making peace with the North Korean’s, the Russians, the Chinese, and the Middle East. During the Obama administration, North Korea was launching ballistic missiles over Japan, and ISIS was chopping off the heads of Americans. After Trump was elected, he destroyed the ISIS caliphate, and North Korea was no longer launching missiles over Japan.

There may be a small decrease, depending on who wins the election. Federal spending by way of “stimulus” introduced so much fantasy money into the economy, inflation was all but inevitable. That money cannot be recalled, so we have to wait for business/capital growth of the economy (by way of productivity). There is a large contingency of elected representatives who either do not understand the impact of flooding the market with their phony money, or, view the ability to say they gave X amount of dollars to some interest group. I do not think we have had a Congress in place with a President in office who, at least significantly, cut deficit spending since Clinton-Gingrich-Dole/Lott, in the mi-90s. Since then, the taxpayers pockets and purses have been sliced open. Locally, for a flavor as to why prices are not likely to go down, rampant theft has decimated many businesses, high taxation has led to many industries fleeing the state, fantastic regulations increasing the cost of business, latest example being $20/hour to flip burgers (it was about $3.35 when I had that job, of course, it was dinosaur meat, and foot powered cars with stone wheels). Now, that will lead to an increase in the cost of everything in those restaurants. Every law that increases costs to the producers, increases the costs to the consumers.

JEFF (THE OTHER ONE),
.
Each modern president, from Herbert Hoover – Joe Biden, has been in office for a partial or full fiscal year where there was a decline in the budget deficit or a budget surplus for at least 1 year, but the sustained reduction in the budget deficit that you mentioned began even earlier. For 9 fiscal years we had a reduction in the budget deficit or a budget surplus, beginning with fiscal year 1993 and ending in fiscal year 2001, under Presidents Bush(R), Clinton(D), and Bush(R), Vice Presidents Quayle(R), Gore(D), and Cheney(R), Speakers Foley(D), Gingrich(R), and Hastert(R), President Pro Tems Byrd(D), and Thurmond(R), Senate Majority Leaders Mitchell(D), Dole(R), Lott(R), and Daschle(D), Senate Minority Leaders Dole(R), Lott(R), and Daschle(D), House Majority Leaders Gephardt(D), Armey(R), DeLay(R), Blunt(R), and Boehner(R), and House Minority Leaders Michel(R) and Gerhardt(D). We no longer have a Congress willing and/or capable of compromise, negotiating, reducing/freezing spending, and eliminating wasteful spending. There are so many unnecessary grant programs sending money to state and local governments which could and should be eliminated until spending is under control, but we have a Congress unwilling to act.

Prices are not high and there is no inflation. It’s just the ‘extreme MAGAs” that are saying all these things about high prices because they have a problem with Biden and they are trying to deflect the attention away from Trump’s hush money lawsuit. Taxes, tolls etc. won’t go down, some products may be reduced depending on competition and demand.

biden is forced to admit economics are in the crapper. This is a depression like we’ve never experienced. Weimar hyperinflation right in front of our eyes. Easy 100% across the board in 4 years. 4 more with some more interest hikes and you’re on the streets. Let them ban gas and diesel and raise taxes and insurance. You are so so close to complete financial ruin and don’t even know it. I don’t care how much you think you have…it’s worthless in a heartbeat

The economic collapse of the US is well overdue. You can’t have an economy that benefits just a few. Of course they’ll supply you with lots of basketball, football and baseball games and pizza to keep you distracted until it is too late. Sounds like a science fiction tale and there have been a lot like that written which were supposed to serve as a warning with much of the inspiration came from history.

Don’t forget, he put Mayorkis in control of the border and that guy was running an NGO facilitating all these illegals coming across our border I’ve said it 1000 times on here the HIAS OK look into it he’s a board member or was one definitely a conflict of interest that’s not the only NGO operating down there in South America literally giving these people supplies and maps and legal advice on how to circumvent our laws. Also, apparently there’s a network where they’re flying them around our country into swing states and areas to offset the local populations basically strategically planting these people to out vote the native population. apparently, it’s a conspiracy theory that there was voter fraud even though they had videos of people opening up suitcases, full of ballots on several news organizations that were not afraid to show that ….mail trucks with votes disappearing, covering up the windows of voter stations like that’s not shady so of course they’re moving all these people around the country to do this again, but probably in a different way. So not only have they ruined the economy. They’re facilitating an invasion of the world here and the news media is not reporting it correctly because they’re in on it same with your education institutions they’ve been infiltrated to the top. Why do you think they’re pushing stuff that was so taboo 60 years ago and have normalized it pretty much… the same thing with crime stats if you really knew what was going on on the streets versus what they tell you, you would never vote for a Democrat again except for the few exceptions on this forum . Question to the left have you not noticed a pattern every time you guys get in control of the country? We have inflation, some sort of economic crisis, social dilemmas that your party is literally pouring gasoline on. And war. Do you not think that a cultural revolution could swing the other way. Wouldn’t it be a better way of thinking to try to compromise with the opposing side and be civil for once in 150 years? Instead of putting your fingers in your ears and your heads in the ground like ostriches going la la la la every time somebody that’s conservative tries to talk to you ?…maybe open your mind and take a look around your country look at some pictures (of people and areas) from America and the 20s the 30s the 40s 50s and 60s even the 80s now look at it now do you not notice something have you been so brainwashed to think that it’s OK to give away your own country forget about god and go against its founding principles?

We live in a Uniparty state so there is scant chance that things here will, in the short run, get much better. The long term solution is to vote in good conservatives at the local level. School Board, City and County seats, Sheriffs and so on. This rot is deep and will take lots of time to clean out.

We are supposed to root them out when they do this. I see one major issue with your long-term voting strategy is that people of European descent in America have lost their balls.
