Ice cream lovers in Concord have something new to look forward to. Cold Stone Creamery is planning to open a new ice cream shop in the Clayton Valley Shopping Center, located along busy Ygnacio Valley Road. The addition is expected to bring more foot traffic and dessert options to the popular retail hub.

Prime Spot Among Popular Dining Options

The upcoming Cold Stone Creamery will be situated between Angry Chickz and Panera Bread, placing it in a high-visibility area frequented by shoppers and diners alike. This strategic location makes it an easy stop for families, students, and professionals looking to enjoy a sweet treat after a meal or shopping trip.

What This Means for the Community

Cold Stone Creamery is known for its made-to-order ice cream, mix-ins, and custom creations prepared on a frozen granite stone. Its arrival adds another well-known national brand to the Clayton Valley Shopping Center, enhancing the variety of dining and dessert choices available to local residents.

While an official opening date has not yet been announced, preparations for new retail spaces like this typically involve coordination with contractors, suppliers, and even a local moving company to transport equipment, furnishings, and materials into the space efficiently.

Looking Ahead

As Concord continues to grow and attract new businesses, the addition of Cold Stone Creamery reflects ongoing investment in the area’s retail and dining scene. Residents will want to keep an eye out for updates as more details about the grand opening become available, signaling another sweet addition to the neighborhood.

@Domo
I’ve only tried one of their signature flavors, “Coffee Lovers Only”, and man was that delicious.

It feels like just yesterday their old Clayton location closed, but that was already 7 years ago. This isn’t even the first time Cold Stone has made these baffling decisions – they reopened one in the New Park Mall after having a previous location that closed merely 5 years before.

All ice cream is overpriced these days imo! $5+ for a single wimpy scoop of ice cream at Baskin Robbins these days! Atleast at Sip n Sweet they give you a MASSIVE scoop for $5. I mean when you can go to Safeway and get a 1.5 quart for $5-$7 why would u go somewhere else!? Lol
We complain about it but still go get ice cream once a week in the summer cause we love it so much lol!
