Taking Out The Trash: Concord Cops Nab Suspect In Garbage Can

The following is from the Concord Police Department:

That’s not Oscar the Grouch hiding in the trash can—it’s Patrick Brown. After leading officers on a short pursuit in a stolen vehicle, Brown crashed into a fire hydrant and tried to make a clean getaway by jumping into someone’s backyard. Officers quickly found him tucked inside a garbage can, where the only thing he was recycling was bad decisions. He was arrested on multiple charges and booked into county jail. Special thanks to the Contra Costa Water District for the quick response in shutting off the water from the broken hydrant.
