A 58-year-old Martinez man has been arrested for felony DUI causing injuries and child endangerment causing great bodily harm after a crash on I-680 near Hwy.4 this morning, according to the CHP.
At about 8:47 a.m., CHP units were advised of a solo-vehicle collision involving an Audi A6 that crashed into the concrete rail and sustained major damage.
The one-year-old child inside the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
The driver, identified by the CHP as Lon Lucky, was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Once released, the CHP says he was booked into the county jail in Martinez.

Dui at 8:47am? Me thinks Mr. Lucky might have a small drinking problem.
I witnessed the crash this morning from the other side of the freeway going towards Willow Pass. I looked over and saw a giant dirt plume fronted by the speeding car which then did a barrel roll to the right off to the side of the freeway. It was the craziest car wreck I’ve ever seen – I had to question what I had just seen. I immediately called 911 (hands free) and reported the incident.
That sounds like a terrible accident. I guess everyone was spared serious injuries or death as a result of the irresponsible selfish drunk driver. I am so thankful they figured out this person was over the legal limit. What a foolish thing to do. I hope this person will pay for this
