We have fifteen more ICU beds available today then we had yesterday.
Let’s hope Congress can get relief aid to our small businesses. There isn’t a false narrative that COVID-19 is a death sentence. There is an understanding that if too many people are receiving treatment at once we will lose the ability to give everyone the aid they need because our hospitals were flooded.

Survival rate is not accounting for lasting impact. My daughter had 3 friends die earlier in this and one left with sever issues and still problems walking age 24. Dead ages 18,24,28 no medical conditions.
Just get the vaccine once J&J releases theirs. It should be submitting for approval late Feb-March and is single dose. They are already producing preparing for it

That is … statistically rather amazing. Incredible, even. About 2,500 people in the whole country have died of Covid in the 15-34 age range. That one person would personally know three of them is amazing.
I am in no hurry to get the vaccine. I would like it to be out awhile before I take the needle. The social distancing and mask wearing have worked fine for me.

I now know eight people who have died from COVID and another friend lost half of her leg. I am so disgusted when seeing people put up the laughing emojis on every comment and still talking about a hoax. 300,000 dead, and it’s a hoax, for what purpose.
@palermo – There have been news articles from victims about to die who still claim it’s a hoax. They say they must have cancer, pneumonia, etc. and that’s why they are dying. Nurses and doctors who try to tell them it’s COVID-19 are brushed off and told it’s impossible as it’s a hoax. People cling to their beliefs.
The funny thing is, those particular news stories *are* actually fake. 300k deaths = real. Scores of people dying in vocal denial that the virus is real = fake news. Or more precisely, one nurse tweeted this and nobody else could corroborate it at all.

Yeah, our oh-so-progressive state has basically shielded white collar workers and left blue collar people to keep providing food and services and deliveries. “We’re all in this together.” Right. And they say it would be impossible to shield the vulnerable without lockdowns. Well, we are shielding the wealthy pretty darn well!
So, what happens to the 30% of people that are not going to get the vaccine shots? Will the black helicopters with marksman in them dart you like a episode of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom? That might make a good TV series, I’d watch it. I’m not as spry as I used to be and might end up being on it.
The TV show will be named Mutual of Obama’s Wild Kenya and yes, sharpshooters will blanket the area to do the brain swabs, tattoo your vaccination status, while also inserting RFID plus Bluetooth capsules.
As it is, I’m surprised they are not already tagging the people that are vaccinated to make it easier to track and divide the herd at places such as airports. In the movie Contagion (2011) they used bracelets or wristbands that had holograms and probably RFID.
