The following information is an update from the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff on today’s fatal shooting on Taylor Blvd., near the Lafayette/Pleasant Hill border:
At about 1:06 p.m., Muir Station Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the unincorporated area of Taylor Blvd. and Gloria Terrace.
Deputies arrived on scene to find bystanders providing lifesaving measures to a person on the ground near a vehicle.
The victim, who appeared to have been shot, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He is not being identified at this time.
The investigation by Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives and the crime lab is ongoing. The suspect is outstanding at this time.

Exactly! This supposed social justice notion of releasing all the criminals from jail and not sentencing any new ones to jail is backfiring on the good public big time.
Some of the more liberal among us, still have their heads in the sand though. I guess they personally need to be victimized before they change their dogmas.
I’m pretty sure we already lock up more people than almost every other country. It’s been 50 years and it’s not working. Time.to try something new.
When the State turns red…which it won’t. Not until a revolution…Enjoy!!! It’s one of the reasons we sold our home and moved to another State. One where my taxes support my personal beliefs. It’s more satisfying to live this way than the California climate satisfies.
Evidence this shooter was locked up then released to “create more mayhem?” I’ll wait.

Maybe it was road rage and maybe not but we are living in dangerous times. Lots of human units out there that have no regard for life. They will shoot you for looking at them wrong. All you can do is be extra vigilant to your surroundings and try to avoid confrontations as weak as that sounds. Live to fight another day. Sad times indeed. RIP

i’d like more info on this shooting.. roadrage generally involves vehichles.. no mention about those cars.. what caused the rage. why did they stop?there might be more civility if you assume everyone is armed
