Face Masks Are Now Optional On BART

Face masks are now optional on BART.

BART has confirmed there are no longer any federal, state, or local level directives that enable a mask mandate on BART.

Like other transit agencies, BART’s mandate was based on the now withdrawn TSA directive. In addition, on Wednesday, April 20, the California Department of Public Health terminated their statewide order requiring masks on transit and is now strongly recommending people wear masks on transit.

Pending any future developments from the local, state, or federal level, masks are now optional and strongly encouraged on BART.

BART Board President Rebecca Saltzman announced the Board of Directors will consider a proposal to continue to require masks in the BART system at its next meeting on Thursday, April 28.

Free masks are still available from all station agent booths and from all safety staff for those who need a mask or forgot one.

Can we please just move on? These officials don’t know their arses from their heads in the ground. Keeping up with government mandates is like trying to shoot a mosquito with a shotgun. Make up your own mind and f the idiots. This whole thing is a sht show.

I can’t help to think if Trump was right after all during his last year. He did not want all these shutdowns he believed in the vaccine which he got going and therapeutics and some masking. But not the quarantine and shut down. Is proven right that those did absolutely no good and only hurt people’s lives and the economy. We probably should have just kept going let herd immunity spread
And we would have been better off.
Funny too is how the media, and the Democrat party said that any president that has so many deaths in a year should not be president. Ends up that Biden had a lot more deaths in his first year of covid and before. And Biden even got the vaccine handed to him on a golden platter thanks to Trump.
In short I think if we let things spread, and the fact is still 98% of the people would not be hurt by the disease, we would have been through this quicker and probably without as many deaths. I’m thinking Trump was right.

The Democratic Party had PLAN to deal with this epiDEMIC and get Biden elected. “Never let a crisis go to waste”.

The population of the US is 330 million. Yes 98% of people would be fine, but 2% of 330 million is still 6.6M people that would have died if we just “let this spread.”

If you don’t wear one, you will be considered a Trump supporter and will be cancelled. Follow the science.

I’d like to thank myself for my pioneering work breaking the mask barrier on BART the last couple of weeks, mostly because I forgot one.
