State Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, introduced a bill Thursday to improve access to PrEP, the preventative HIV medication.
If passed, Senate Bill 339 would allow pharmacies to provide PrEP without a prescription and require health plans to cover the cost of pharmacists’ time in preparing the medication.
PrEP reduces the risk of contracting HIV through sexual contact by more than 99 percent and through drug use by at least 74 percent, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The bill follows Senate Bill 159, which authorized pharmacies to furnish up to a 60-day supply of PrEP without a prescription. However, few pharmacies have successfully used the bill.
Preparing PrEP is a large obstacle for pharmacists and the 60-day-window is too short for a primary care referral.
SB 339 addresses the gap by ensuring payment for pharmacists for their time and for health plans to cover a 90-day supply of PrEP.
“Each year around 4,000 Californians – disproportionately LGBTQ people and people of color – contract HIV because of barriers to access,” said Wiener. “SB 339 will address the issues with implementing our groundbreaking legislation SB 159, allowing people to access PrEP without seeing a doctor.”

AIDS thus HIV is not sexually transmitted. The entire story we’ve been told surrounding the AIDS issue is a lie.
Simply DuckDuckGo: Dr. Peter Duesberg and Dr. Kary Mullis. They were two of the most acclaimed AIDS researchers and experts in the world. They, along with many other world renowned AIDS and HIV experts and researchers exposed the lies surrounding AIDS and HIV decades back. Kary Mullis is also the father of the PCR test which he said was never intended for the purpose of determining Covid. He said the PCR test subsequently gives a 95% to 98% false-positive reading due to the fact that it can be manipulated and get the desired effect or result that the issuer of it desires.
I have spent 13 years working with heroin addicts, some of whom are HIV positive, and some of them also have full blown AIDS. They all were infected either by sexual contact, or IV drug use when sharing needles. I hold certificates in critical care, advanced HIV/AIDS, and HIV/AIDS counseling.
Dr Duesberg’s claims that certain drugs and homosexual activity are the cause of AIDS, and not HIV, is wrong. HIV is a virus that over time can weaken the immune system, rendering it unable to fight off diseases, which can lead to death. The HIV virus is transmitted through bodily fluids such as blood and semen, and AIDS is diagnosed when the CD4 T cell count falls below 200, or if there are complications such as cancer, or a serious infection.

My brother was born with hemophilia in the 70s. Had to have multiple blood transfusion thru his young life. He later developed HIV and continued thru life but eventually it turned into AIDS and took his life. It was hard back then because it was rumored that the only way you got HIV was thru sex or drug use which was not his case at all. He suffered so much not only with having HIV but from an ignorant populace and having to hide it from family that didnt quite understand how he could get it if he wasn’t a drug user or having sex.

AIDS can be transmitted through tainted blood, sharing needles and others ways. BUT it can also be transmitted through unprotected sex.That was how it spread so fast in the early eighties. Sally, please cite your sources.

It’s not due to barriers to access. It’s because sex and/or drugs with an infected person.
And they are not contracting it due to barriers. They are because they CHOOSE riskier activities.
HIV is spread due to lack of barriers. Lack of barriers to a man’s anus.
All legislation proposed by The Wiener (D-SF) should be suspect for unConstitutionality, potential consequences, and wokeness.

Sally, I am familiar with Dr Duesberg, and so are my colleagues that work with HIV/AIDS patients. My education extends beyond school, I have done extensive research on the subject, and I am still studying and researching medical issues, and new medical discoveries frequently. I have first-hand experience working with patients that have AIDS or are HIV positive, and I stand by not only my findings, but what I have seen with my own eyes, that HIV is transmitted through bodily fluids.

Can you please show me one published and or scientifically documented study that proves a virus has ever existed? Where anyone has EVER purified and isolated a virus and subsequently put it in another individial who as a consequence of this got the virus? Nope!
You can’t and neither has any other scientist nor scientific community now or anytime throughout history. That’s right!
Simply look at Covid. Several organizations throughout the world under FOIA requests have asked for proof of the Covid virus through their respective courts only to find that in each case the government has had to admit that they have no documented proof of the virus existing. People simply are conditioned to believe anything they are told without doing their own research.
So called viruses are actually internal bacteria or toxins that we carry inside our own terrain or body’s system that simply get activated due to a number of other internal or external factors or issues that subsequently weaken or destroy our immune system. AIDS is merely a myriad or number of different types of immune deficiencies not one. Bad nutrition, polluted water along with other external toxins are the catalyst that initiate or activate the destruction of our immune system. Not one AIDS case has ever been scientifically documented through any transfer of bodily fluids. We have been lied to, nothing more!

I just started reading the book Virus Mania and in the foreword the authors postulate that “scientists are ignoring basic scientific facts: the existence, the pathogenicity and the deadly effects of agents have never been proven..that they are using dubious indirect tools to “prove” the existence of viruses such as antibody tests and PCR…these viruses may be, in fact, alternatively seen as particles produced by the cells themselves as a consequence of certain stress factors such as drugs and toxins.” The magic bullet doctrine currently accepted by society to treat specific illnesses is a gold rush for chemo-pharmaceutical—notice new HIV treatments advertised every week? Guess I better go put on my tin-foil hat…

This guy is a total S*#t head but I have to agree in that since people with HIV cannot seem to stop continuing the infection there needs to be a stop gap. You do not get HIV from casual contact you get it from sex or blood contact and since we cannot abstain from this all should have a control mechanism. Don’t like it but people do what they do so if there is a solution then why not.
