Well isn’t this just wonderful. Of course we need be mindful that in CA and CoCo county, criminals are on our streets instead of incarcerated. As crime increases would not be surprised if incidents such as this increase. News Flash for liberals, there are people walking our streets who are straight up predators with zero empathy for their fellow man.
.
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

Contra Becton County, the happiest county to live in. Where criminals run rampant and good people are the bad guys and have to live in fear.
Lord Jesus we need an Exodus!

I’m happy the homeowner was not injured. If the homeowner hit the suspects, Becton would have charged him with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

That’s scary! I wonder where all the bullets ended up? Glad the car’s owner wasn’t hurt! I assume no one in the surrounding homes was injured, either.

The democrats keep saying they want to remove guns from the streets. It’d be a good idea if they also pushed to remove criminals from the streets. That’s the bigger problem.

Law and order are gone in this state. We the people have a constitutional right to protect our life and property . Who would have thought in these modern times that law-abiding citizens would have to take up arms to fend off criminals because the elected officials are not doing the job they were elected to do. We have two choices, vote out all the evil democrats that have allowed, promoted and released criminals to prey on the innocent or buy more guns to protect yourself.

Too bad the suspects don’t resemble swiss cheese, that would be the preferred outcome since our DA is too busy to keep this filth of our streets…

Good for the victim but he needs more range time

Taking back and protecting our belongings and not letting them get taken by thieves! We need more of this! Since laws don’t apply and aren’t enforced!

Gina, So let’s say your child, grandchild gets stupid one night, hangs out with some friends who want to do something stupid, maybe they’ve been drinking or smoking some weed. They do it, steal a car, break into a garage and take items, whatever. According to you it would be ok to shoot them. Remember, these are material things, no one has been physically harmed. I’m in no way condoning any crime and agree the perpetrators need to be held accountable but do you seriously think it’s ok to shoot someone for stealing? So you’ve just killed a “stupid” kid and now you go to prison for the deed.

When the stupid kid starts the shootout, yeah, it’s OK to shoot them.

“Stupid” is cheating on a test, or not doing homework, or cutting class or missing work for no good reason. The things you mention a “kid” doing are criminal. If they don’t know better the problem rests at least partially with the parents who might be grieving their loss.

“do you seriously think it’s ok to shoot someone for stealing?” Why is this the question that is always asked? How about you ask the criminal miscreants if stealing or destroying someone else’s stuff is worth their own life?

ITSME
If your biggest concern with your child is that they might get involved in something like this … I might wonder how you are raising your kids.
And you are absolutely condoning these crimes if you say that we cannot fight to protect our home and material things. Flat out, God help you if you break into my home when my family is here. Breaking into a car on the street is very different than breaking into someone’s home. How does the home/property owner know that all these poor defenseless little kids are just going to steal material things … hint, they don’t.

Life is a series of choices, and every gene pool has a shallow end.

Barlie April 6, 2023 - 5:35 PM - 5:35 PM

These guys shot at the victim FIRST!! So yeah if the stupid kid shoots at someone it’s absolutely OK to shoot them.

Rocketman April 5, 2023 - 8:58 AM - 8:58 AM

Best not to confront them these days car burglars are almost always carrying firearms so they can get away with whatever they are doing and are willing to shoot for petty crime it’s not like the old days where you can scare them off if they get caught

I wish the homeowner good luck in not being charged. In Texas this wouldn’t be a problem, in anti-gun, pro-criminal California it could be.

Give the homeowner a collective gift of gun range practice to develop better shooting skills.
Perps were very lucky to not have been injured or killed.
Hopefully they realize how their ideas can go sideways very quickly and jeapordize their lives.
But then, maybe they are perpetual perps who just don’t care about outcomes.
Are some things not worth losing your life?
Arm up Californians until the streets are much safer…

The thugs shot at the homeowner. The homeowner would have been perfectly justified in putting them down.

Bend over and grab your ankles…surrender, let them have it all.
When the thief has gone away (with your belongings) you can just thank God you didn’t have to shoot him….and now, since you’ve made it clear you’re an easy mark you can expect return visits.
Don’t just do something…stand there!
