This isn’t cancel culture or political correctness. This is perpetuation of a racial trope that comes from Hollywood depictions of Native Americans. The “tomahawk chop” chant is as well. This is 2023, for crying out loud. Time to hang up these depictions. That this boy has Native American heritage (allegedly) doesn’t matter.
I do have an objection to people going after this young man, however. He learns from his parents and from other Kansas City fans. It is a shame that he has been singled out. Had this come across my Twitter feed, I would not have commented despite my objections. And I oppose thought leaders going after him. There are other ways to battle old racial tropes besides exploiting a boy (who doesn’t know better) as an example. BTW, Fox News is exploiting this boy as well by featuring him in their piect.

The problem with these virtue signalers is not necessarily what they are wound up about. The problem is that they don’t check whether or not what they are hearing is true. They’d rather get angry than actually check if their trigger is fake news.
The Dem playbook is to find a potentially volatile story who’s main characters are bad white oppressors doing bad things to good marginalized people. Pitch it to their media lackeys. The media edits out the audio and video that doesn’t meet their approval and amps up the volume to the masses. Their stupid followers go nuts. Later, cooler heads look into the accusations and realize that the story is 99% bs and slanted to demonize a Dem enemy. But by then the pinheads have made up their minds.
We’ve seen this play out with the Covington kids, Michael Brown’s killing, the Nascar noose, border patrol agents whipping illegal immigrants, Jesse Smollett, Kyle Rittenhouse, Treyvon Martin, and many others. Now this poor kid gets the treatment, even though he was wearing black AND red face paint (the team colors) and, most importantly, IS ACTUALLY NATIVE AMERICAN. In every case, people were cancelled, the left went ballistic, and at times actual riots broke out and people died. All because dumb people didn’t question the stories that their trusted sources fed them. And many of these same dumb people (some posting here on Claycord) still believe them.
Real racism, sexism, homophobia, abuse, etc has no place in our society. The same goes for sensationalized lies who’s only purpose is to gin up faux furor.
I hope this kid can cash in like Nick Sandmann did!

I pay attention to the entertainment industry and have been watching the fallout from the foolish big corporate leaders who thought their customers wanted “woke” content. Obviously the customers didn’t want it. Now those giants are in big trouble plus the strike added more problems. The public wanted entertainment not social studies courses.
Call it what it is. It is some colored folk trying to blame White people for their own ills. This kid had nothing to do with the over 580 people murdered in Chicago so far this year. It had nothing to do with inner city high school seniors that only read and comprehend at a sixth grade level. The kid or anyone else should be able to paint their face any color they choose.
