Calm Weather Expected After Winds, Strong Rain Lash Bay Area

A major storm lashed the Bay Area over the weekend, dumping rain and battering the entire region with powerful winds, which toppled trees and downed power lines in dozens of places.

While most cities saw rainfall totals from about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches and wind gusts in the 50 mph to 60 mph range over the past 36 hours, some spots were left reeling from even stronger impacts, according to the National Weather Service.

Coastal areas and ridgetops were buffeted by gusts that typically topped out at about 80 mph while Point Pablo in western Marin County recorded a 102 mph gust, said National Weather Service meteorologist Dalton Behringer.

“The rain from this was impactful, but a bit more so the wind, certainly, because of all the trees down and stuff,” Behringer said.

“We still have two ongoing flood warnings in the North Bay, particularly in Sonoma County, and there are a few elevated rivers and streams up there, but nothing major we’re hearing about,” he said.

The storm knocked trees into roadways, toppled power lines and at one point left more than 235,000 without electricity.

The next few days are expected to be much less stormy.

“After Wednesday it looks pretty pleasant,” Behringer said.

.
THAT was a good storm – Trees down, downpours, flooding, and weak people scared due to their unpreparedness.
.
The previous storms were rather disappointing. A lot of build up and paltry precipitation.

Not overdone for serious. “Lash” we are in propaganda everything all the time. It rained, we had some wind. Can’t wait for the day sensational headlines ignored so much they just report the news like normal again. Everything has to be a panic/drama/emergency or hype. Are you at least entertained by it? I’m not.

Good old fashion winter rain storms. That’s what their called. Some times light rain, sometimes heavy rain. Sometimes heavy wind, sometimes very little wind. Sometimes they actually happen, most times today’s armospheric brainwashed dumbell globalist agenda weather forecasters can’t hit the side of a barn door because all they’re told to do is put DRAMA and FEAR INTO IT!
