UPDATE: Suspect Flees On Foot After Crash On Ayers At Myrtle In Concord

Vehicle collision on Ayers at Myrtle Drive in Concord. One person fled on foot from the scene. A Concord Police K9 is searching for the suspect. A telephone pole was also struck. This crash occurred just before midnight.

UPDATE: Power is out for about 600 people in the area. Power should be restored by 2 p.m. on Sunday Feb.2, according to PG&E.

I heard this crash last night. It was so loud it woke me up out of my sleep. The power has been out ever since (not sure if this is the reason). I can’t believe the person fled! I really hope the police catch them!

DUI, distracted or both ….. solo vehicle? K9 catch the perp?

Saturday night there was an accident on Port Chicago/Panoramic Drive. Both drivers took off before police arrived. Left debri from crash on the road.

Telephone poles are lousy hood ornaments.

I’m amazed how strong the wires and connections are. This pole is now supported by the wires.
