There are leagues for racing (foot and swimming) that compete without gender segregation.
There are marathons, biathlons, and triathlons that do not segregate genders and relays for foot races and swimming.

I think it’s fair to point out that we are all aware that the topic of ‘Sports’ covers a broad range that span many physical and mental abilities. We already have divisions segregating athletes along weight class and heights, I don’t think gender would preclude those distinctions. Certainly that is an area that does deserve consideration and time.
There is mush about this subject that absolutely deserves conversation and finding where that needs to be applied is not going to be difficult. It is conflation to approach the topic of sports as a singular issue, or something that just need one approach. That’s where things get into the territory of prejudice and bigotry because not only is the topic skewed as a result, we loose sight of the individuals involved and our language becomes bigoted.
People want to play, people want to compete. It does not threaten anyone’s existence or visibility to allow another group to join.
The people who continue to speak of this topic with such broad strokes are doing so with an intention of keeping other confused.
Volleyball has different net heights for men and women. Co-ed leagues include rules such as male players not being allowed ro attack at the net in front of the 10-foot line. There is a difference in strength between male and female volleyball players.

Leading average driving distance on the PGA Tour (men): 326.2 yards
Leading average driving distance on the LPGA Tour (women) 283.75 yards.
That 42.5 yards equates to 3-4 clubs difference in approach yardages. That means if a woman is hitting a 5 iron for her approach, a man is hitting an 8 or 9 iron. Even someone who barely plays understands the difference in dispersion between those clubs.
That’s why ladies play a different set of tee boxes. Different set of tee boxes = different golf course.
Archery could matter, especially if you’re a guy who just turned into a chick and you aren’t used to having a big set of knockers sitting up in front of you.
You can get whipped pretty badly by that bowstring when you release.
Some of the more gifted gals wear a breast protector…. really.
And Ballroom Dancing?

A special category? Really … not sure category is the right word.
Should transgender people have their own sporting league … well not my call. Someone can create it if they think they can make a profit on it. I would not buy any tickets, watch any games, or support them in any way cause I know there are only two biological sexes – make and female. Other groups have made their own leaguers based on criteria.

I kinda disagree with your including golf. I think males can drive a ball farther (all other things being equal) based on muscle mass. Of course technique counts.

What about school leagues or community leagues? Not all sports are done for profit.
Also, there is evidence for 4 distinct sexes within the human species, male, female, intersex, and teansgender. The last two have been recognized medical terms since the 1950’s, an have been referenced and described in texts going back to ancient Greece and beyond.

That is correct. Two biological sexes and an extremely small percentage of genetic anomalies.
We say there are two biological sexes when explaining things to very young children. Older children and teenagers are usually ready to understand that the real world is not quite that simple.
Males have XY chromosomes.
Females have XX chromosomes.
Intersexuals have a mix of chromosomes, such as XXY. Or they may have some cells that are XY and some cells that are XX. Or they may have just one X chromosome (XO). There are many shades of gray.
Most of the people that transsexual or chose to be gender neutral or ambiguous are biological intersexuals. They grow up in a world surrounded by people who seem comfortable being boys or girls while they are uncertain about themselves and how they fit. Younger children won’t even know or have the words to be able to explain what it’s like.
We should classify sports this way. XY league, the XX league, and the mixed chromosome league?

There should be a special category for them in an institution of mental health. Clearly a mental disorder, in that in order to meet what they think they are requires radical chemical treatment or radical surgery. They live outside reality. What is more, they are not happy if everybody else does not accept their fantasy as reality.
They should compete in the category assigned on their birth certificate. However, I am seeing one positive coming out of this controversy in that younger females are now faced with consequences of woke idiocy they were taught in schools. Having your genetic identity and ability to compete in sports trashed by woke culture makes it both personal and makes them start to question the propaganda. I know someone who is a lot less Democrat right now.

I’m beyond sick of this crap. I’ve put this forward before and will repeat. I had limited it to high school and perhaps college sports, but now I’ll extend it to all levels of sport, team and individual. Eliminate all categories except for weight where it’s applicable. No men’s and women’s teams or categories. Try out for the team. If you make it, have fun. If you don’t, sit your ass down and shut up. One category in all individual sports. Sign up, pay the competition fee, and compete. To the winners go the spoils.
A mental institution is a place where they can compete for all the attention they long for.
How bout we just eliminate gender from sports and call everyone equal. I for one would love to see our women’s soccer team play the men’s team since they believe they deserve equal pay. My money will be on the men’s team to win every game, not even close. Winner takes all the money. Now that would be equal.

Well, if you’re looking for someone who cares you might ask school age female athletes whose best opportunity to attend college might be through excelling in their respective sports. Success and top rankings are part and parcel to that excellence.

You must have missed the story about the real female volleyball player got a concussion from a spiked ball by a fake female volleyball player.
This did remind me of a time, long ago, back in high school when, because of an ongoing disagreement between the teams, the girl’s, that is what they were called back then, basketball team played the boys’ team. It was a take no prisoners rout. You’ve heard want happens when you get between a momma bear and her cubs, that was pretty much what happened. The boys could not show their faces for weeks. A rematch might have been a different story, but was never allowed the take place. Both teams gave the other lots of space after that.

Just make the Mens division the Open Division (anyone can be in it including born as a Women) and make the Woman’s division only for born as a Woman. They only people getting burned with trans participation are real Women
