Burger King, located at 2855 N. Main St. (near Treat Blvd.) in Walnut Creek, was closed this month due to a rodent infestation, according to the Contra Costa County Department of Environmental Health.

Inspectors from the Contra Costa County Department of Environmental Health say they found the following during their inspection on April 13:

  • Numerous rat droppings were found under the self-serve soda station (currently not in use due to COVID restrictions); in the storeroom under shelving; at the first thru-window; on the floor by the ice machine.

The restaurant has since been reinspected and reopened.

What is with these places? Rats don’t take time off for the virus. I have been seeing more and more rat traps near various restaurants. I don’t go inside when I see those.

Do you want them to kill the rats or just let them run freely through the restaurant? Maybe put up signs that say “Rat Free Zone”. That should do it.

The rats were not wearing masks, so they were closed down.

You have to be an idiot to eat at any public restaurant – if you only knew …
