Contra Costa County Fire Protection District announced the availability of a toll-free hotline for use by residents to immediately reach their local law enforcement non-emergency phone lines to report illegal fireworks.

The illegal fireworks reporting phone number is 1-833-885-2021.

The line features a voice menu that allows residents to quickly reach the correct law enforcement number for their location by entering the first three letters of their city’s name. It also allows the selection of “unincorporated area” as their location, connecting the caller to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

Use of fireworks of any type is illegal in Contra Costa County and exceedingly dangerous during current heightened fire danger conditions.

So I was driving down the freeway last week and on one of the Ca. information boards on 24 in Lafayette it said “Sparklers are to be lit, not drivers” …..”I am so confused”

Wow. First fireplace burning, then watering their lawn too much, now fireworks. What else can I rat on my neighbors about? What number should I call if they’re drinking Bud Light?

they already ratted us out and we did not even start. There is now a CPD on our corner I guess waiting for the apocalypse to start.
You know what they say…”It’s not a good party until the cops come back”

Yep, we moved a few years ago and couldn’t be happier. Living in California is like being in a bad relationship: You don’t realize how bad it is until you are out of it. Then you look back and say, what was I thinking.
Obviously, if you are one of the crying Karens, please stay where you are and don’t wreck the rest of the country.
