Cheryl Ann Kaufman, born Cheryl Hughes, sadly passed away on September 7th, 2023, after a long period of ill health, with her family at her side.

Born on April 6th, 1951, in San Francisco, Cheryl was the daughter of Ruby and James Hughes and was raised in Millbrae. After being widowed when her two sons were young, Cheryl raised them in Redwood City until they moved to Concord in 1989 to be closer to family.

Cheryl is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Brad, Scott and Faye, as well as her four grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Sienna and Brooklyn. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Joan Hughes, and her three nieces, Elizabeth, Stephanie and Shannon.

For over 20 years, Cheryl was a School bus driver for Mt Diablo School District, until her retirement in 2016.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
