Uh, I think you’ve used the word “strawman” incorrectly here, as it doesn’t fit DeSantis one bit; it does however, fit Biden to a tee.
DeSantis was a strawman in the sense that he was the weaker debater. His policies may be better and his state more successful, but he wears high heels and looked like he was going to cry.
Newsom is running his state into the ground, but debated with confidence and resilience. Is it harder to debate a winning or losing position?
This was a practice run for Newsom’s presidential candidacy and DeSantis was the crash-test dummy, the strawman, the politician steadily sinking, not popular enough in his own party to be a contender, nor packing enough punch to knock-down Newsom.
He doesn’t have to knock down Newsome. Gavin did that on his own.

Ga is being sued to allow examination of them, These ballots were “Mail in” but have no creases for mailing perfect identical ballot marks and it appears they were “Lost” so they cannot be examined.
