Today’s question:

QUESTION: What’s your favorite spot for a one night getaway?

Sometimes all you need is 24 hours to reset. A cozy mountain cabin with a crackling fireplace, a boutique hotel in a vibrant downtown, or a quiet lakeside inn can turn a regular weekend into a quick adventure. Pack light, pick a place within a two-hour drive, and let the change of scenery do the heavy lifting—no complicated itineraries required.

If you’re chasing a little romance, look for intimate touches: a room with a balcony, a sunset view, a spa soak, or a late dinner at a dimly lit bistro and you can also have a little fun with a show from this Camsoda Review site. Add a sunrise coffee walk, a shared playlist for the drive, and a promise to keep phones face-down. One night can feel surprisingly big when you make it intentional.

Short getaways like this can also be a great way to reconnect if you’re dating or just starting to explore a new relationship. Stepping outside of daily routines removes pressure and creates space for real conversation, laughter, and shared memories without distractions and is when dating or using Premium Escorts services can be fun. Whether it’s a first overnight trip or a spontaneous escape with someone you’ve been seeing for a while, these intentional moments can deepen connection and remind you why dating is often about experiences, not extravagance.

So—what’s your favorite spot for a one-night escape?

Sometimes I can be a little dyslexic, and at first glance, I thought the topic was,
“what’s your favorite spot for a one-night stand.”
If it’s for one night only, maybe visit my daughter, she’s always fun to be around.

Sea Breeze Motel in Pacifica and Nicks Rockaway Seafood Restaurant. You step out of your 1960’s room right out to the Ocean. The room has such an ambience one can’t describe. Safe, beautiful, simple and cool. So peaceful.

“Sea Breeze Motel is a budget friendly motel offering a flat screen TV and a refrigerator in the rooms, and it is easy to stay connected during your stay as free wifi is offered to guests”.
At $180, I don’t consider that budget friendly.

San Francisco. We do this about four times a year We can usually find a good deal for a hotel on-line, and will go to concert, a play, a musical, symphony, ballet or even an occasional opera. Plus great restaurants. The City has its problems, but the cultural advantages outweigh the issues. We are blessed to be just 30 miles away.

In California, it was the Elk Cove Inn on the Mendocino coast.
In Tennessee, it’s a cabin in the woods between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

I rarely go away for just one night. I did a few weeks ago, when one of my girlfriend had a big round birthday party, she lives in Clear Lake, so I drove up Sunday for the party and spend the night at a motel and drove back Monday. The Scandinavian Club owns 2 cabins, one in Clear Lake and on in Tahoe (by Tahoe City), so over the years those have been favorite get aways, usually for 2 or 3 days. In summer Clear Lake, and Tahoe anytime of the year. Although not a Scandinavian Club event, about 20 to 30 of us would spend a weekend at Sheepranch up in the Gold Country. Other weekend getaway although not as frequent, Carmel, Yosemite, Russian River. For years I was invited to a weekend of camping by a group that did abalone diving on the Sonoma Coast, by Salt Point.

Me and my boyfriend love The Fogcatcher Inn in cambria, and then we also enjoy the lighthouse inn & suites in Pacific Grove, and the red barn barn is located right in that area, for a very tasty breakfast! Recommend the crab cake benedict😋
