Walnut Creek’s “2nd Saturday Spotlight” tour of the City Corp Yard is this Saturday, August 10:
Walnut Creek Mayor Cindy Silva has been leading tours each month of a different non-profit or government operation, and this Saturday, August 10, the City’s Corp Yard will open its doors for a behind the scenes tour.
The “2nd Saturday Spotlight” event is a free tour, running from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., and this month’s event will bring people up close to the huge construction vehicles and other trucks used by City staff.
There will also be updates on what’s happening with the City’s parks, traffic operations, and a look at the intricate equipment that is used to create all sorts of signs around town.
The guided tour has limited space available, and registration in advance is required.

Cool! About 30 years ago I supervised the in-plant print shop down there! Designed it and everything! Cool memories working with PW staff!
Here is another spot they can tour. The new sleep in your car parking lot at St John Vianny Catholic Church next to Heather Farm. Just approved by the city
If they take the tour in the day they can see the car owners sitting on the park benches or maybe taking a shower in the pool showers. Lets hope they are not burners or worse.
