This is the year 2023. We know that we have some knowledge of things that went on say as far back as twelve thousand years ago. What we know most about from history are the wars that have been fought and that millions of lives that have been wasted. You would think that in twelve thousand years we would have figured out a way to get along. If you know history for instance every war we had in the 1900s could have been avoided. WW1 WW2 Korea Vietnam all could have been avoided not just by us but by everyone. Divided alliances and letting circumstances get out of control and everyone was off to the races. We are now fermenting another war that could have easily been avoided but some of our leaders haven’t learned, so people are dying, things are being broken, and money is being wasted. I understand no leader wants to be a Chamberland, but his problem was he was way too late to act, the die was already set. Right now it is not too late.

Believe it or not, there are rules to wage war. They’re written in the attempt to limit the suffering. Don’t intentionally target or kill civilians. Treat the captured humanely with proper food, medical attention, etc. It’s ok to have shrapnel, but you can’t pack bombs with glass (impossible to see and remove from wounds). Combatants should be identify-able with uniforms and markings on equipment.
