There is nothing to worry about, China is professional at spreading viruses to the rest of the world.

We were out shopping, can’t remember where, the week of Thanksgiving, and there was a child coughing up a storm. Managed to stay clear of her, poor thing, and hope she does not have White Lung Syndrome.

According to recent research a lot of the Covid cases were actually bacterial pneumonia. I recall that was what the Italian nurse treating the spring break college kids back in spring of 2020 said was going on not some mysterious “virus”. And they are trying to scare us by saying “white lung syndrome” which is a form of bacterial pneumonia. Fool us once, fool us twice… you know the drill.
Idk about white lung syndrome, but it definitely sounds racist !

“A few comments on Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
It is an atypical bacterium as it has no cell wall. It causes generally mild respiratory infections (“walking pneumonia”). There’s no good reason to refer to it as “white lung syndrome”.
Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections happen all year round with a peak in winter. There is also a ~3-7 year periodicity, with a bigger epidemic roughly every ~4 year. This pattern predates the Covid-19 pandemic and has been observed over the past decades.
There have been big epidemic waves observed in several parts of the world, starting in South Korea and China. It is likely those may happen in many, if not most, countries in the Northern hemisphere over the coming months. The main reason is twofold.
First, circulation of Mycoplasma has been reduced during the pandemic and hence fewer people, in particular young kids, have acquired immunity to it over the last 3.5 years.
Second, the last big wave of Mycoplasma happened 4 years ago in the 2019/2020 winter. Thus, as Mycoplasma pneumoniae epidemics tend to peak about every fourth year, we might have been up for a big wave this winter, even in the absence of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
This is not a novel disease that would cause a pandemic.

I think they are trying to cause a panic again.If we got every vaccine they wanted us to get we would be in bad shape.I will never get another Covid vaccine again to many health related issues that I didn’t have before the vaccine.Just be cautious.

First, this is clearly all Trump’s fault. Not sure how, but it is. Also, China has released a new virus just in time for the next presidential election. We’ll be locked down and will have to mail in our ballots. All part of the playbook.

No. Reputable experts say the uptick in respiratory viruses and pneumonia is not caused by any new pathogens. It’s just the usual suspects – flu, RSV, coronavirus. The only people freaking out about this are idiot politicians and media outlets looking to stir up some controversy. But if you are concerned, then follow the advice of health officials: stay up-to-date on vaccines, wash your hands, and wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces.
