The “Lifetime Green Cards” began expiring in 1996, when it was replaced by the “10-Year Renewal Green Cards,” but green cards issued as early as 1989 did contain expiration dates. The change was made due to the influx of fraudulent green cards, and the government creating new and more secure anti-fraud green cards, not 9/11/2001. The government could’ve easily just issued new lifetime anti-fraud green cards to those with lifetime green cards, but they wanted to collect more information on green card holders, including profile photos, so that green card holders could be entered into the government “ear recognition system.”

I do commend her for looking for work and taking the extra step of going door to door, but maybe she should look for employment that aligns better with her education. Maybe try for a job that requires acting and communication skills. Sound like the perfect background for a politician.

My great aunt used to talk about all of the conversations she had with long dead friends too. Then she passed away due to Alzheimer’s.
